Early saucer lamp

Period: Iron Age I

Origin: Palestine

Date: 1200 - 900 BC


Shallow bowl with no defined rim, pinched to form single wick-rest. Flattish underside.

Fabric: Coarse gritty clay.

Manufacture: Wheelmade

Size: L. 14 cm

Condition: Minor rim crack (formed in antiquity when pinched).

Comments:
